Hugh Mills began his funeral business in 1805 although like a great many funeral firms at that time, his main business was building. Looking after the great houses of people like the Singer family (sewing machines) and wealthy tobacco merchants.
Later amalgamating with William (Bill) Gaye they decided to concentrate exclusively on funeral directing.
Walter C. Parson Ltd took over the running of HUGH MILLS & GAYE in July 2006, re-opening the Babbbacombe office in October of that same year.
A short distance from the main shopping area, and fronting the main road, there is plenty of parking available.

Siân Doyle
Siân has been working within the funeral business for 7 years and joined Hugh Mills & Gaye in 2008, as secretary. Having qualified as a FD in 2010, Siân will guide you through the funeral arrangements
