Pengelly Funeral Service, Saltash
Welcome
Sydney Colin Ashton had been a funeral director at Landrake since 1945 but in 1982 he retired, leaving Peter Pengelly to run the business.
Peter continued to successfully run the business in Landrake under the name of Pengelly Funeral Service and in 1986 Peter decided to build a chapel of rest in Victoria Lane, Saltash.
Peter’s wife Susan joined him as a partner in 1992 and continued to run the office until their retirement in 2007 when Walter C. Parson took over from them.
The office in Fore Street was opened soon after Peter and Susan retired, thus continued Walter C. Parson’s affection for Cornwall, having initially been funeral directors in Stoke Climsland in the 1800’s.
